The "Behind-the-Scenes" Guardians of the Smart Sky Road

During the Spring Festival travel rush, a special group of people works tirelessly on the plateau railway. While they do not directly participate in train operations or transport work, they have been busy from before the Spring Festival until after, quietly ensuring the safety and smoothness of the plateau railway's communication network in the unseen "backstage." These unsung "guardians" are the communication workers at the Network Management Center of the Xining Communications Depot of CR-Qingzang.

As the "nerve center" of the plateau railway transport network, the data for trains running on multiple railways, such as the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, Lhasa-Shigatse Railway, Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway and Ge'ermu-Ku'erle Railway, all pass through the network management center. A failure in any one of the network channels could disrupt normal train operations. Currently, the Xining Communications Depot Network Management Center employs 30 communication workers. They operate 60 computer systems running 16 different network management systems, monitoring and analyzing real-time data and performance of thousands of network data channels scattered along the 4,000 kilometers of plateau railway. They are always ready to respond swiftly to system alerts and troubleshoot any issues.

Data exchange and network connectivity are the keys to smooth operations. During the Spring Festival travel rush, these communication workers exemplify the spirit of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, staying committed to their posts and quietly ensuring convenient travel for passengers and the safe, smooth operation of trains.
